Use Medium Format Lenses with Sony A7 Cameras

Image
Sony A7 ii with a Mamiya 645 80mm f/1.9 lens via Kipon Baveyes Focal Reducer. Here is a review of the Kipon Baveyes medium format lens focal reducer adapter for Sony A7 cameras.  This adapter has a lens element that concentrates the medium format image circle down to the size of a 24x36mm sensor of the Sony A7 cameras with a 0.7x factor.  The 80mm lens above has an equivalent focal length of 56mm.  The concentrated light also gives us one stop of extra light.  The f/1.9 is an equivalent f/1.36, a very fast medium format lens. This a manual focus lens adapter. Kipon Baveyes Medium Format Lens Focal Reducer Review by @mattiasburling Read the complete review at gunpowdervideo.com . Thanks @mattiasburling ! Check out Kipon for all available medium format focal lens reducer adapters. Let's go a step further by adding the TECHART LM-EA7 Autofocus Lens Adapter with the Kipon Baveyes we can have a medium format lens autofocus system. from Mathieu Gasquet

The front and rear wheel have a slimmer form factor. There is now a 45° ledge for the Menu and C button on the rear. Images of the new Sony a7ii
