Sony NEX-5 with Panasonic Lumix 3D Lens

hunslis combined the Sony NEX-5 with the Panasonic Lumix 12.5mm f/12 3D G Lens using a micro four thirds lens adapter for the Sony E-mount to create an APS-C sensored hybrid 3D camera. This makes for a very compact shooting rig.

  1. This is the dumbest thing to do. That lens is crap. See here why: http://blog.javacorner.net/2010/11/micro-four-third-frustrations.html

  2. I think he results seems very interesting and good, even in poor light places:

  3. It doesn't seem lined up properly. One side is higher than the other, and my eyes can't even focus. The resolution probably matters less than getting the 3D effect right, particularly uploaded to YouTube. It would be neat if it could be made to work, but care should be taken to line things up vertically. It would be nice to have an inexpensive alternative. There are other alternatives available; has anyone tried a Loreo lens on Nex?

  4. Joining the body (Sony NEX5) with the eyes
    (3D Lumix Panasonic H-FT012 ) is possible
to get very 3D good results, thanks to:

    1. The high quality Sony sensor and its
    big size: APS-C 23.4 x15.6 mm (Sony)
vs four thirds 17.3 x 13.0 mm, so more
    than 60% larger sensor.

    2. The large field depth of 3D Panasonic
    lenses.

Here you can see some results, also with Loreo lens:
